Kap Ocean Team had the pleasure to attend the event, “From the Innovator's Workbench, with Beth McCombs” by Stanford Byers Center for Biodesign, in Silicon Valley, on October 25, 2023.
Beth Combs is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Becton, Dickinson and Company, also known as BD. Beth leads end-to-end research and development for the organization. She's responsible for identifying customer needs and assembling an innovation portfolio, advancing new product development from early-stage concepts through commercialization, along with sustaining the current product portfolio.
Beth spoke talked about the CTO's role in identifying white spaces for innovation, the trends influencing BD's innovation agenda, and BD's approach to enabling health equity and sustainability. She shared lessons learned from more than two decades of leadership experience in medtech.
